Excellent drama by Victoria Wood
Originally saw this engaging drama on TV but now pleased to have my own copy, which was great value. Good fact-based story of a working class family in wartime Barrow. The Snowball Effect.
We watched this program on TV several weeks ago. Decided it was so good that we bought the DVD. Then we bought another DVD for my sister-in-law. We added two of the Diaries to form a Xmas present. We watched our own DVD on Xmas Day. Our house guests now want their own copy of the DVD as well. Having given the books away we now need to buy another set for ourselves. Well done Nella. I’d seen this advertised when it was on tv, I was put off by the title if I’m honest but don’t let this fool you. Victoria wood brilliantly adapted one persons take of her life during the war years.
