    You'll be glad you bought this tv classic

    Funny, insightful and beautiful comedic timing. I'd forgotten just how good the writing is in each episode and the actors delivery and performances are top notch. Laugh out loud regularly. Fantastic pick-me-up viewing.

    5 stars for content, 1 star for picture quality

    5 stars for content but it was filmed so long ago the picture quality is diabolical and almost unwatchable on today's big UHD screens, so only 1 star for that. I've ended up watching ripping them to watch on a laptop on the coffee table instead. (If only there was an option to reduce the screen size on UHD TVs!)

    Political guidance at its best

    If you aspire to be a politician and want to get to the top, Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister are the perfect guides. They go into great detail of just how to keep the status quo, appear to be very active whilst doing nothing and keeping any change from ever happening. These DVDs are obviously being used by the present government who follow them to a tee. You can hear it in everything they say and everything they (don't) do. So they are highly recommended for all politicians.

    Political comedy that is relevant today

    It is surprising how a comedy programme about politics, made many years ago, can still be so relevant today, with subjects including Europe, austerity cuts, the NHS, education etc. etc. Superb examples of history repeating itself, told by a team of well known, and excellent, actors, some now, unfortunately, no longer with us. The comedy interaction and timing is second to none, only enhanced by the very expressive facial reactions. It is a series of programmes I never grow tired of watching.
