I bought this product as I remember watching the series years ago, before being a property owner and remember it having handy tips to organise your home so wanted to watch it again to refresh my memory and to see if I could implement anymore of Anthea's tips into organising my household. It also has comical value as well. I'm not aware of any other DVD's like it.
The nation s ultimate domestic goddess is back in a brand new series of The Perfect Housewife. Another group of hopeless home makers come under Anthea s scrutiny as the Oracle of Organisation gets to work to turn their homes from tips to temples of domestic bliss. Once again Anthea will set about trying to re-educate the nations self confessed incompetent homemakers and attempt to turn them into The Perfect Housewife. Ever the gracious host, Anthea is throwing open the doors of her Surrey mansion to give these horror housewives a two day crash course in how to make their homes spic and span. Here at the school of Anthea, lessons are all about the three Hs; home making, housekeeping and hostessing. After their intensive training the women are sent back to lick their own houses into shape... but they have just one week to do it in before Anthea comes and judges their best efforts. And they must face the dreaded white glove test... As well as all eight episodes of series two, this three DVD collection also features the Christmas Special, The Perfect Christmas , where Anthea gives you the tools for a faultless festive holiday, as well as an interactive quiz to see how much viewers have learned and Top Tips from the Queen of Clean.Read full review
This is a look at how Anthea Turner can turn hapless housewives into the Perfect Housewife. I sat watching the dvd eating chocolate biscuits and drinking tea, when I finished I didn't clean up the crumbs straight away. Probably not what Anthea was hoping for. I enjoyed watching this dvd. I liked to see how they turned things around, some of the tips I have actually used and I enjoyed the tongue in cheek narration. The best bit was seeing the terrible houses and feeling pleased that my house wasn't that bad. I shouldn't admit that but it was true.
I purchased this DVD as I missed it when it was first shown on BBC3 (bad reception from digital box!). I wanted to improve in house keeping skills, hopefully making my life easier and make a friends slightly jealousy next time I invite them round for dinner. I have only watched 3 episodes so far and have thoroughly enjoyed them!
As a stay at home mum, housekeeping and being a housewife is my full time job. Its exciting and educational to be instructed on the "how to's" of youre home and somthing that is quite lost in this generation of women since the feminist movement. I am a beliver of a traditional home and its values. It was inspirational and interesting to learn little hints and tips for running a better house hold, hichly recomended! 5***** Thanks!
