Nothing would disgust me more, morally, than winning an Oscar
Although it doesn't contain Un Chien Andalou, L'Âge d'Or (currently £28 for the two on Blu Ray) or The Exterminating Angel (currently £6 for a Daily Mail promo or £18 for a proper DVD) this is a great box set. The last time I watched these films was decades ago on a small black and white television with a one inch speaker so to see them on DVD through my punchy stereo system is a revelation – although the sound is often sibilant on spoken words beginning with 'S' and distorts. This does not happen with any other DVD or Blu Ray. A Blu Ray version of this collection is £50 but does not contain The Young One, which I had never seen and is excellent if somewhat incredibly controversial thematically. The StudioCanal ident before each film is astoundingly LOUD and bizarre – you have been warned.
