Will know more when plums are harvested
Arrived inngood time and well packaged. Placed in plum tree and we will await the outcome in August when picking the plums to see if they have been spared from the pests as low crop last year and plums picked all had maggot near the stone. If it works I will definately repurchase next year. Review implied the products works well so only time will tell. Plums picked in august and only a few had any moth maggots inside about 500 grm out of 24 kgs of plums so would recommend and will purchase new inner for next season.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The instructions make clear that this only traps male moths. Its use is in telling you when to spray. On its own it does not catch enough moths to do the job. Save Your Plums!
I was doubtful about the effectiveness of this item but as my plums were being ruined by these burrowing pests I bought one, worked out how to assemble it (easy enough, it's like a wee house) and hung it in the effected tree. First day there were half a dozen trapped males (I think they were males anyway, I didn't check!) Over the next week more and more were stuck in the goo inside the trap.
