Good sound on DAB when you can get a strong signal, which is not always. FM is reasonable too. The included Sennheisers arent bad, but I use the better in ear Sennheiser pods off my Iphone which are even better. Im not convinced the item is worth the full price, as Pure radios tend to be premium, and the sound to me is nothing THAT special. However, if you pick it up cheaply as B stock or secondhand, its not a bad purchase. I bought the leather case as well to protect the unit. Not cheap either, but protects it well. Battery life seems good.
I recently purchased the PURE DIGITAL POCKET DAB 1500 FM,DAB,RDS Radio.I have had this product around 1 month and To date I have been delighted with this product but am looking forward to testing it later in the month when I will be using it in a different region. I havve an old tiny DAB Radio which I have never been happy with as well as a larger portable Roberts DAB Radio which I had purchased for my Birthday some 5 years ago, but this was conviscated by my wife for her own personal use. I bought a Pure DAB Alarm clock for recently and she has bee delighted with that also. So far I am sold on the PURE Quality.
my experience of using the pure pocketdab 1500 has been very good. I generally use it when i go out cycling and in my car. ive found the signal quality to hold out very well in most areas.ive travelled from leicester to south cornwall and only lost the signal a couple of times for short periods. the sound quality is excellent. i find it very easy to use and like the way the control buttons can be locked, so not to disturb when in my pocket. the battery pack holds its charge very well. i would recommend it to anyone who wants to hear good quality dab on the go. my only suggestion would be to buy a protective case to hold it in in case its dropped.
I moved to DAB around the house well over a year ago, and this has left my AM/FM pocket radio seeming increasingly inadequate. DAB gives a wider range of stations and, generally, clearer reception. Tuning with the Pure 1500 is straightforward and positive. At first it seemed bulky - but as it still fits in my shirt and blazer breast pockets this hasn't been so. I'm delighted by the miserly power demands and lengthy periods between charges. Overall, nothing but praise for the Pure 1500, but don't believe anyone who claims DAB reception is always better than AM or FM.
This small dab portable radio is a ‘GEM”. It is quickly recharged to the ample sized internal rechargeable battery which will last for quite a long time. It is very easy to use and has good quality of sound output thru the earphones. It is handy being able to receive both dab and fm signals also. I would thoroughly recommend this radio to anyone who is keen to be able to listen to very good quality radio especially the range of sound of any music signal with the bass boost on.
