I have been 'home brewing for about 10 or 12 years now so have tried pretty much every type of yeast available and this one is the best I have used, I have been using Alcotec yeasts for a few years and adding the liquid carbon but this yeast has the carbon in it so need to mess with the liquid carbon. Add to that the saving in money and you see why this is a winner. There is one issue a lot of people do complain about and that is the fact that this yeast does take longer to clear. Many claim it does not clear, it does but can take up to a week so more patience is required which does make a mockery of the fact that it is a 48 hour yeast but personally I feel it is worth the wait. Very good yeast that saves you money on carbon. Highly recommended.

The water I use is from a local well and is PH neutral (7) witch as been giving me a bit of trouble getting the yeast to do its job. I bought the PH strips to get it right and a base and phosphorus acid to ad to get the correct PH. The temperature I ad already sorted wit a submersible heater. When I added the yeast to my wash and checked the PH to add either the base or phosphoric acid to make the yeast happy the additives with this yeast got the PH just on the required level. With the temperature at 27C the yeast just took off and got to SG level of 0.980 in a week and stopped as quick as it started. I expected the carbon to give a smoother result after distilling as carbon takes the harsh elements out of the wash and it didn't disappoint there either. I filter my wash to .5 micron before putting it in the boiler, some carbon was still in the wash but i ran it anyway. No burned taste has come from that at all and I had a fantastic end result. I think this yeast is hard to beat when making a sugar wash. If someone can convince me there is a better yeast combination I will try it but I'd be sceptical. Summing up, fantastic product, yes it is a bit dearer but it gives a fantastic result without the left over sugar.Read full review

I have been using this product for a while now to produce high strength alcohol from sugar ready for distillation. The addition of the activated charcoal to the product really helps to reduce the "off flavours" that are often associated with the use of turbo yeasts. I would not recommend it for making high quality wines from grapes or fruits, however with sugar it is perfect! I do tend find that it tends to take a day more than stated on the packet to achieve the maximum alcohol from 8Kg of sugar, however it's still pretty quick and results in a much better end product compared to other turbo yeasts that I have tried. It is the perfect yeast in my opinion for producing a base product ready for distillation.

Great product - Takes a little longer than advertised to fully ferment, in my experience - especially in the winter when it's a bit colder - but still fast ... and good. This helps you make you some good basic and versatile home-brew at fraction of the the usual cost.

I have used this many years now regularly , with the added carbon for purity its even better. It makes 5gallons of 20% alcohol total cost with sugar and clearing about 15 quid .Its simply just fantastic.
