The eagerly anticipated Cannibal from LA 'Evil Disco' metalheads Static-X delivers some of their most cutting edge songs to date. The welcome return of guitarist Koichi Fukada adds to the original aspirations of the band with simple, repetitive, heavy guitar riffs aswell as the addition of more solos which were quite a rarity from Static-X before. Lyrics are in most cases more aggresive and range in speed and style. It is an album that has songs that are more alike in guitar sound but at the same time it shows great diversity throughout. The focus on encorporating more electronic 'evil disco' sounds is also in-fitting with the original ideals of the band which became lost to a certian degree in Shadow Zone and Start A War. In conclusion this is a real 'back-to-basics' album which sees the classic Static-X form brought up-to-date and regenerated for the 21st Century. A must for all Static-X fans - these riffs will get stuck in your head and get you moshing every time - GET IT!!!Read full review
