Quiet and easy!
We ordered one of these over 3 years ago, then ordered 2 more (one for downstairs and one for work) because we liked it so well. This is the 4th one I've ordered, and it is for my daughter. This model is much quieter than others we've tried in the past - there are three speed settings, and event the highest is not bad. We like sleeping in near total dark, so the fact that this has minimal lighting - just a "button" to show it is on - is great! The area around this humidifier stays dry. Honeywell Humidifier
keep this in mind-This is NOT a steam type heating vaporizing humidifier. There is NO VISIBLE MIST/MISTING. Use with plain cold water only, no scents or oils. So far 2 weeks of use no scaling or mineral deposits with soft tap water, filter has also staying reasonably clean. Water is absorbed up into a honeycomb paper filter and the fan blows moistened air through it. I guess the same can be done with a wet towel placed in front of a box fan without the germicidal uv light. Holds about a gallon of water, enough to run over 20 hrs. on Low fan. It runs quiet, like “white noise” quiet. The 3 speed fan on High is loud to sleep. Not too sure on what humidity level it creates in my 170 sf bedroom but seems to work...so long as the forced air furnace doesn’t kick on, which is why it’s soooo dry in my house in winter with gas forced air heating. I plan to get a humidity meter to monitor the true effectiveness of this machine in larger room and edit this review later if possible.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Top Grade Humidifier
I love this humidifier! It's easy to set up and the only sound is the sound of a fan set at low, medium, or high speed. When I bought this humidifier I had had bronchitis so bad that I only felt comfortable breathing when I was in the bathroom while the hot shower was running. This humidifier immediately started fixing my cough and also helped my eczema! It also doesn't emit any white dust since it's evaporative. I found cheap replacement filters on eBay and now I'm all set! It would be nice if this humidifier had a humidistat to tell me the humidity or some way to schedule it or shut it off automatically after a certain amount of time. However these are less important than general function.

Quick and Easy with Some White Noise

My second one
I bought one of these years ago after a trip to the SE Asia in January. When I got back it was cold and dry and I wanted to feel humidity in the air again as I missed the tropics. I've used it every year since then in my bedroom in the winter to help with the dryness. I got this one for my wfh office since I'm in there all day. It takes about 24 hrs to use all the water on low in a 14x14ish room. The filter is cheap and can be reused. I've never had any issues with the machine. It's easy to clean out before you put it away. Humidifies but Filter Falters

Excellent and simple.
Quite-ish. On lowest setting and on the other side of the room I barely hear it. I kick it up a notch though because I need low hums to help me sleep.
