Great but not on Iphone7
Great little mic. Major design flaw is that you can't access home button on iPhone and the rubber button cover on the mic doesn't work with iPhone 7. Also rode app doesn't work at all so used 'reporter' app which works but crashes when phone sleeps as 'prevent phone lock' function doesn't work.

i XY-l microphone for IPhone / Apple products
Got this as a back up for interviews of course the app you can download from the App Store - Rode interviewer I think is easy to use. The only downside is that if I have a case on my device the aperture for the charging port is too small which I had to modify the case to make it fit. Clear difference from the mic being on and off when listening to varying audio options - voice, instruments, a 6 year old jabbering, dogs howling, parakeet doing his thing.
