Excellent safety product
The strap and its fixings seem very strong. It seems bizarre to us that once your child is over a certain weight the new seats are not secured to the car. We were concerned that in case of an accident the seat would injure our 3 year old as the force of it on his back could squash him. This strap takes care of that. It also stops the seat sliding around annoyingly and wobbling about when he's sitting in it. It also stops the empty seat becoming a projectile in case of an accident. Not an easy fix.
I bought this product to secure my childs car seat. It attached to the Isofix points in the car very easily. But I couldn't pull the strap to tighten the belt to secure the seat. Ideally you want to secure the seat so it doesn't move, but because of the Isofix attachments, the seat cannot sit tight against the car seat. Ok but....
Using the belt to hold my granddaughters booster seat in place, particularly when she is not in it. However the adjustment buckle protrudes into the seating area and whilst it is ok when she has thick clothes on for winter, if she only has thin summer clothes I feel it may be uncomfortable. **UPDATE We have been using this belt very successfully for over 2 years now and my granddaughter, who is almost 7, has never once complained about the the buckle being uncomfortable, even in the summer.
