ONLY USES KEURIG BRAND K-CUPS
I had a Keurig when they first came out, and you could use any brand of K-cups in them. I bought this new one and found out that Keurig now makes them so they will ONLY take the more expensive K-cups that are licensed by Keurig! l no longer can use less expensive non-generic K-cups in it. I will never buy a Keurig maker again as the Keurig people are just greedy and manipulative. There are plenty of other brands of Coffee Brewers out there.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Missing pieces.
It would have been nice to know that there were picked missing. Like M and the pieces around it. I purchased this for my 86 ur old mom that loves her old one and then it stopped working on her. Single serving COFFEE better than a full pot when its just you.
Over all in pretty good condition. functions ok just a little noiser than my old Keurig of the same model/style but wouldnt accept my K-cup I use with paper filters to enjoy making single servings of my prefered brand of coffee grounds so had to get a new K-cup to make it the coffee maker accept it and begin brewing.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Love my K500.
My old Kerurig died on me several months ago so I started shopping for a K500. They are not cheap, so I kept looking. I found this one only a few months old and took a chance that it would work. Coffee, not water
It’s an upgrade from the keurig 50 I had. It has more functions allowing the machine to come on and turn off at preset times and stay prewarmed to save time. It has a clock, nightlight, takes the same filters, holds more water. I can brew a cup OR a carafe, and it came WITH a carafe. The only drawback I’ve found is it doesn’t let me put a teabag in the pod holder and brew water over it. The water won’t get hot enough to make good tea 😕 It seems to think there’s nothing in there because there’s no pod and keeps giving the “ready” message. It was also a challenge trying to get the first cup of water run through for cleaning for this reason also. Even with following the directions in the book. All in all, it’s a coffee maker and that’s what it does- makes coffee, not hot water, I guess.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Keurig
I love my Keurig. I had one before but we moved and left it behind for one of our children. I tried to find the one we had and couldn't get one. So I came across this one and at first I was unsure due to being refurbished but once I received it and got to use it then I was very pleased.
