Captain Toad Treasure Tracker is honestly a neat little game. Especially the 3DS version because it was probably made with the 3D in mind and has some of the strongest visuals for the system. If you've got a New, Standard, Normal sized or XL (hold Select for the XL version to scale the image down), consider giving it ago. It's a nice calm pretty game, it doesn't punish you with overly difficult puzzles and is good for short sittings.

A port of the original Wii U version, with some new levels from Mario Odyssey, perfect game to play on the go, not too challenging, 3D is supported too. 2nd screen is the same as the 3D screen but is used like a touch screen for some things. I totally love it, you can play it on Switch too, but this is a great port!

a fine spinoff game from the Mario universe! what a change of pace from hoping rushing stomping, to exploring, hunting for treasures, and puzzle solving. Each level is a puzzle box, the main objective is to collect the star, but there are plenty of "side quests" to complete, including collecting the 3 diamonds, and the secondary level-specific objective (e.g. destroy all enemies, collect x coins, etc). On top of that, there is also toad pixel hunt for each level, and the time challenge (once you have completed all the levels I believe). Admittedly the levels are relatively small and short if you are only after the stars. If you are into 100% the game, the fun will probably last much longer. Also did I mention how charming Captain Toad is? :) the music is great too. I am having much more fun on this game than the regular Mario available on 3DS (cough New Super Mario Bros 2 cough!)Read full review
