Best iron on the market.
Can’t see water. Tank as good. As my 1st one. Needs to be clear! Also this one is much bigger. But it is an awesome iron ! I can’t imagine going back to a regular iron. Good but has problems
I read reviews of this on Amazon and should have listened. The machine leaks a lot u til it is very hot and used continuously. I bought it for my sewing room so it is not used for long stretches. I have to let it steam out any cold water in the hose and I have to heat it to a higher temp than I would prefer. I have an older Rowenta steam station and it never does this. The reviews on Amazon say that it has a tendency to leak. It produces great steam and has a nice large reservoir, those are the pluses. I will keep it but will swap this in the sewing room for the older one and use this for regular ironing where it will be used for a long stretch of time (and therefore less likely to cool and leak). Love my Rowenta!
I had an old one for years and it wore out. So I bought the Rowenta DG8520 Perfect Steam 1800-Watt Eco Energy Steam Iron Station Stainless. They have perfected it over the years. Lighter, easy to see when the water is running down, easy to clean and I love the clip that holds the iron on the station for transporting the unit. I know I sound like an ad but this really is a great iron! Lots of steam and it doesn't spit water all over your clothes. This product DOES NOT have an On/Off" switch
The Rowenta DG8430 Professional Steam Station, much like the earlier model I had for a number of years no doubt is a fabulous iron. But there is one significant problem and complaint that I have. When I purchased the Rowenta 8430 Steam station, there was no mention whatsoever that this iron DID NOT HAVE an "On/Off" switch. The DG8430 paper work I was able to secure on line did show via the nomenclature that the "On/Off" switch as item #17. However, when I called Rowenta, I was explicated told that Rowenta Model DG8430 DID NOT come with an "On/Off" switch and this manufacturing "defect" had been replaced by model DG8520 . I was also told that this DG8430 had to be "plugged"in and "unplugged" before and after each use. Love My Rowenta
I had the previous model of this Iron Station and thought it was wonderful. It was until I purchased this one. It has come a really long way. I am 100% satisfied my this purchase. I am lifer for Rowenta irons. Mine was worn out. I have used it for years. So, when it finally went kaput,from years of ironing five kids uniforms, there was no other option for me , but to get another one. I am very particular about my clothes and this iron makes them look brand new, even after years of use. I love that you never have to worry about scorching marks as with an everyday electric iron.
