Worst Ever Don't Buy
The heat on each side of the bread is not equal with one side hardly heating at all. There is a piece of paper added to the instructions saying that the toaster is designed to work with 4 slices so may not work as well with less. Versatile toaster
Nice big slots for all sizes of bread and I especially like being able to lift the rack up while still toasting without having to cancel the operation. Ideal to just check how the toasting is going and the high lift means you can get the toast out without any problems. Larger than expected
I found that when you placed the bread standing up it was about an inch above the toaster, so I turned the bread sideways and it was perfect and I found it toasted evenly all over. There's only one thing I wasn't sure about and that was because it is shiny stainless steel and going by the picture it looked matt so it could be prone to finger prints. A big machine and at last a manufacturer who has acknowledged the need for a toaster that accepts slices of bread of Warburtons size. Well made toaster and clean lines but watch your fingers on the edges of the chrome slots as I cut myself on thst area.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Nice looking toaster but as with all toasters it does not toast evenly, this is probably due to the bread. If the bread is fresh or dryer or wetter it will toast differently unevenly. I have to say this toaster has to be watched which is not what you are supposed to do we could use the oven toaster for this. Nice looking and easy to use
Browns the whole slice evenly and you can look at the toast without turning the toaster off. It also takes thicker bread. The casing is just the right size and not too big. Just a very tiny dent on the corner which ofset the price.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Breville 4 Slice Toaster
There are 5 "banks" of heater elements. The outer single elements and centre double, all work fine. However, the the remaining two double heaters are visibly cooler than the others. We have been working around the problem but, a new product should not need to have the bread to be toasted 'shuffled' around to ensure even cooking. Photo 1 shows a partially heated element - 2nd from the right. Photo 2 shows the contrast between elements 3, 6 (another "cool element) and 8 from the right.
