Great pastiche and great songs

Good Times Roll
Excellent replica of the Beatles sound and style, with well-developed lyrics. Neil Innes needs more, okay any recognition that he can get. I thought he had dropped of the planet but he is still plying his trade. Currently trying find the cash through PledgeMusic to record a new album (I'm looking forward to that). Check out “The Rutles” and “Archaeology” both excellent if a little short! While you are at it find the movie “All You Need is Cash”, a brilliantly funny mockumentary on the life of this invented band. you won't be disappointed. it puts the song on this Cd in context. After seeing 'Ron Nasty' & 'Barry Wom' perform live with new Rutle members recently, I had to buy this. Favourite tracks are Livin' In Hope, Hold My Hand & Get Up & Go. Brilliant!!
As I say this cd is brilliant, I'd forgotten how good the Rutles were, mainly I believe due to Neil Innes, but the whole CD is performed, produced & written so well. How the flavour of many Beatles songs has been captured is very, very clever, in fact they are great songs in their own right, as the CD plays they just get better as you listen more. I would highly recommend this CD to anyone, who perhaps like me has forgotten just what a great tribute this music is to the Beatles, but as I say the songs can stand up on their own, many thanks!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
