The Sennheiser e 604 is a low distortion microphone with a reinforced glass-fiber body. Low distortion allows the microphone to receive audio in its original form and return it with little sound degradation. The unit features low sensitivity to impact and noise handling. The Sennheiser microphone is intended for use with instruments. It has a hum compensating coil and high sound pressure handling capability. Transmission frequency for the music microphone is a minimum of 2.4 GHz. The maximum transmission frequency for the Sennheiser e 604 is 2.48 GHz. Transmission power for the Sennheiser microphone is 8 dBm. Transmission range is 30 feet. The music microphone clips on to a given instrument. A turn-dial knob allows the unit to be adjusted on its swivel clip. This allows custom position of the microphone. Drum mics made easy

Short and sweet. Sounds good.
I was using SM 57 on my snare and toms but I keep my cymbals low so these shorter mics fit under the cymbals better and sound fine. The clips fit on the diecast rims of my Gretsch USA drums easily and securely. I’m glad I took the plunge.

Great Mic for Live use and Studio
This is not my first choice of Mic for Toms, It creates a Clear and un colored tone. GREAT sound, and a super easy mic.
GREAT sound, compact and quick on and off the drum. IMO/E, it's hard to beat the quality sound, and function of these mics for anyone who needs to mic their drums. The low cost of these compared to other options ( cost of a mic, cost of a clip, putting the clamp on, taking it off, packing it...), along with the ease of just popping it on and plugging it in, is a no brainer to me. If you're thinking of making a mic purchase, or need to, you won't go wrong with these.
