  • Love it.

Humble opinion: Walter Kaufmann provides not only a stimulating, thorough and cogent introduction to the life and works of a man my wife and I affectionately refer to as "our favorite 19th century German syphilitic philosopher," but a delightful example of thoughtful, clear-eyed, impassioned scholarship. Very recommended, as well as other works by Kaufmann, on this and other subjects.
