Class Pictures is a great book that follows the friendship of 2 girls from kindergarten to their senior year in highschool.
This was a great find for me. I had it in elementary school and loved reading it. It is written in the point of view of one of the girls,Pat,and how she met Lolly in kindergarten. The book takes us through each year of school and the reader watches as they both grow in age and as people. We experience their joys of friendship in childhood,as well as challenges that occur throughout their early teens. Some of the references may be dated,but the themes are very relatable still. I recommend this book for girls in the age range of 9-13. As a parent,be aware that in the later teens it does touch on sex. Nothing explicit,though. Fun read!
