49" is really huge! You need A LOT of desk space, at least 90cm from the wall and 120cm in length to be able to even accommodate that thing! Horizontal viewing angles are OK, vertical - not so much, best to sit in front of the monitor to clearly see everything. Easy Settings Box (Samsung software to split screen into smaller areas) is a big disappointment - you CAN fit a lot of windows, providing they are all different software running... for example: you can't fit more than 2 tabs of Chrome, software doesn't "see" 3rd and 4th etc and doesn't scale it down accordingly - that voids the point of this software and partly having lots of monitor space in the first place. As a comparison LG software for LG ultrawide monitors worked perfectly fine every time regardless how many Chrome tabs I wanted to fit.Read full review

Obviously, the size is the thing but also the high refresh rate and the clarity of colour. The curved surface makes using such a large screen easier and the versatility of having multiple inputs means that you can have 1/2/3 screens in operation at the same time. Settings can be a bit confusing but accessing the menus is easier than most screens due to the joystick type lever that accesses them. There was a problem with the VESA adaptor which had tiny screws to hold it in place and they came loose until I thread locked slightly larger ones in place. My only other problem was with the 4 way graphics card that I use (which was bought when I had 4x24" screens.) as this struggled with the differing refresh rates (144hz for this but only 60hz for the others) and booting up in BIOS often caused the screens to malfunction but this has now settled, though booting up is slow. I'm sure that most people will just use this one screen and so there'll be no problem but I need all of them for a digital music studio. I'd never go back to any other type of screen and would recommend it to anyone.Read full review
