Excellent, stable product
Upgraded from Asus RT-AC88U that was very problematic. This one works flawlessly, and I'm using the AC88U as part of a mesh network. I now have full coverage in all rooms, outdoors in my garden and parking area. I have over 20 devices connected wireless and 3 more are wired, and internet speed increased dramatically for all. Good investment for large family with many wireless devices.
Great product with lots of different options for multi-functional use. I am not a network specialist and had to do a bit of reading before setting up different devices such as VPN, wireless printers (one of the wireless printers would not connect to the Asus router, but it ended up being a simple change in router settings). Nice feature to have is the option for guest wifi, so that you are not required to give your password away... The 5000 square foot coverage is more than enough to cover the house network needs (and even backyard) all kids wireless devices, games, and smooth online streaming. The speed drop from ISP modem to Asus is minimal - in the range of about 5% in our case. I measured the speed through Ethernet cable directly from modem getting a range of 295 mbps while Asus router provided 280 mbps at the same time - so the drop in speed is barely noticeable (about 5% for both 5G and 2G networks).Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

All I can say is WOW! This thing is a monster, very very big; the size of laptop almost but the overall performance has been insane! This thing multitasks with ease. I have 4 fire sticks, 3 printers, 4 smartphones, 3 smart TVs, 4 laptops, 1 gaming desktop, and I have both my brand new Hyundai’s linked in as well. Setup was a breeze with the software suite, just a couple of clicks and it will take care of the rest for a novice user, but there are a plethora of features for the advanced user to tweak the machine to their preferences. The game boost feature is a proprietary option that only works with other products from Asus, but that was part of the appeal and my gaming laptop gets screaming fast data to match the power of the machine. It is a great option for everyone and an excellent option for fans with other Asus products that can take full advantage of all the features.
