It is a very neat fryer easy to use and does a good result . Instruction could be improved on !.The only thing I found awkward is the little handle to lift the lid for an older person with slower reaction .the heat on opening the top can make you drop the handle quickly .I would suggest a handle on a safer place or a button on the side of the unit .??? Does its job
Fryer itself is working pretty well, however you can feel budget material used and you have to really take care to keep it in good condition. Only reason I give 3 stars instead of 5 is the fact that piece of metal which holds basket was painted with bubbles, i scratched it gently and there was RUST underneath ... That left me disgusted.

A fryer for Two
I was very pleased with this purchase. Delivery was almost next day, very pleased with that. The product was packed well. This fryer is replacing an existing fryer I have which has seen better days but it was for a bigger family. The VonShef fryer is perfect for two people and only uses 11/2 lrts of oil. Not safe, would not recommend
When opening lid to remove product from this fryer the steam burns your hand. I put a half basket of chips into hot fat and the fat overflowed all over worktop, if it was close to the worktop edge it would have scalded my feet.
