strong yet lightweight design

Too short for deep weeds
I previously had a similar Dandelion remover which ,though rather lightweight did the job well for two years. Seeing this very sturdy item I purchased it thinking that it would do the same job and last a lifetime. It will last my lifetime but the 'tines' are so short that they close only about 2" (5cms) below ground level cutting off any root below that level. Consequently established weeds are back after a few days. Looks like having to buy another cheaper lightweight one and keep this for new seedlings.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Sturdy , efficient and well priced..
It does pull out the weeds much better than I expected , it is efficient , but I can't see it being less efficient on dry ground , but to be fair, it does say to work on damp soil. . A life saver

Great gadget
I had more dandelions than grass on my lawn, so thought I would try this. It takes a bit of effort to push it in deep enough as my 'lawn' doesn't grow too well due to the property behind us having a row of Sycamore trees very close to the boundary and you can tell where the roots of the trees are. Works pretty well

It works exactly as described and is well made from quality materials, the only thing i could find wrong with it is it could do with a wide hand guard on the handle grip as my hand tended to move towards the shaft for better leverage causing the round plastic knob on the end to scrape my hand and cut it along the thumb.
