Resurrects the dead (appliances)
I'm always wary about buying aftermarket rechargeable batteries as their performance has often been disappointing. For this reason, even when my costly DC35 packed up with likely battery problems I hesitated to buy a replacement non-genuine battery. In the end however I took a chance, as it was the only possible way to prevent a very expensive piece of high-tech plastic going into landfill (Dyson no longer offer spares for this model, which is very poor). I did not have high hopes but I must report that the vacuum is up and running again as well as it every did. I haven't measured battery life - I don't go in for marathon 40 minute vacuuming sessions, I just use it here and there and all I can say is it is still on its first charge. Batteries are rubbish
I bought two of these batteries, cells were fully charged but would not power the motor and only 1 blue flashing continuously. I ended up taking apart and was not impressed. I changed the circuit board and now battery is a good one. As for the second battery, although it seems to be ok apart from charge light never going out even when fully charged, i am going to change the circuit board in that as well. I don't feel i can sell the vacuum with confidence with the battery as it is. To some up, don't buy these batteries.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

So more life!
Replaced the original Dyson 1300mAh battery with this 4000mAh version and am very happy I did. Previously when putting the vacuum on Max power I’d get around 3 mins before it went dead, but now I can hoover the whole house on max and it doesn’t run out, I’ve not managed to get the battery to run out yet. Dyson purposefully put awful weak batteries in their original vacuums so each year they could bring out a new version which “lasts longer” with just a slightly more powerful battery to force people up upgrade, don’t be fooled, just replace the battery in yours and it’s like the latest modelVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Has turned my DC31 into a brand new machine
I've been meaning to buy a replacement battery for my DC31 for years and have never got around to it. It was stop and go as to whether it would turn on and work when the button was pressed and eventually it stopped working all together. This replacement battery did the trick and now the DC31 works every time when the button/trigger is pressed. The terminals on the original Dyson batteries are flimsy and eventually give way, making for a terrible connection. So if you have the problem I had, just buy a new battery instead of trying to fix it yourself. Wish I had bought this sooner!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I was doubtful that this battery would work as it is so much cheaper that the Dyson part. I've only been using it for a couple of weeks but so far so good. The fitting was straightforward if a little fiddly to get access to one of the screes. It fits into the charger ok, but you do need to check that the light comes on - it is easy to put it back incorrectly. My model was V6 Total clean. Quality replacement battery - twice capacity of the original.
This battery looks identical to the original Dyson battery, precisely moulded and with a clear and legible safety/product information sticker attached. It feels a similar weight to the original, if not slightly heavier. This is probably explained by the fact the battery has twice the capacity of the original - 4 Ah - which will give significantly longer run times. I purchased this battery because, as is commonly the case, pressing the 'MAX' button on the vacuum caused the device to shut down. This is apparently due to insufficient charge. It now works perfectly on 'MAX' and has impressive suction for a cordless cleaner. I've given 4 stars - better than expected, especially with the extra capacity. However, I'm willing to accept that vacuum battery aficionados may be willing to stretch to 5 stars - Amazing. In all probability it may well be amazing. It's just that it didn't apprehend me in a column of shimmering light, transporting me to vacuuming heaven, revealing the most profound secrets of the universe in the process. Dyson didnt run on full power for long, unit is about 3 yrs old, would run on half suction but lasted a short stint of cleaning. This battery was easy to fit , double the manufactures amphour n nows runs on full power through the whole house .. fraction of the cost of original product.
