The Toyo Proxes TR1 is the follow-up to the ever-popular T1-R tyre. Toyo has significantly improved wet handling on grip on the newer tyre though. The new tread pattern is designed to clear standing water out of the way and drain much more efficiently.
These new T1R are surprisingly very good in the wet. Even out in a rain storm the grip remained almost the same as it would be in the dry. I would highly recommend these tyres. I’ve stuck them on my Mazda Mx5 and they grip to the road round tight corners extremely well and they definitely reduce stopping distance.
