I didnt give it 5/5 because it does have its flaws, but don't get me wrong; this is a very fun and addictive game. I like it because it can be very challenging at times. There are races where you have the lead the entire race and with the finish line in view, you crash into a random car and everyone passes you. It is frustrating at times but also addicting because it presents a challenge. The car customization side of the game is entertaining. There aren't TONS of options to customize the car but what you do have is enough. Another cool feature is the cockpit view while driving around and racing. You an also customize the interior: colors, seats, gauges, etc... I highly recommend this game. It is entertaining and addicting at times. It will make you shout at the screen sometimes. Traffic, racers that NEVER crash, parked cars that somehow manage to be exactly in your path, etc...But the game overall is awesome and I highly recommend it.Read full review
So far, as I've read the many reviews of gamers worldwide, Midnight Club: Los Angeles is a perfection of Xbox Street Racing. One flaw I hear though, is a major one, so you might want to check it out in a game guide or maybe rent it before you buy. The flaw I hear is the major, massive AI Difficulty, which I hear can be impossibll hard to beat throughout the game. I myselft do not think it is impossible, for many gamers have completed the game, but I do not recommend this game to those who give up easily or expect an easy time playing the game, 'cause all you can expect from this is a MAJOR hard AI difficulty level, and newly-found anger issues. I do, however, recommend this game to the die-hard fans of street racing, and those who have played racing games before that truly want a challenge. This game, as a warning, can make you want to throw the controller at your TV. At most street racing games, the faster your car, the easier and better the game is, but in the opposite perspective of THIS game, the better and faster your car is, the worse it is for you, because when you tune your cars, the AI matches you and tunes their cars as well, fit to easily beat you, due to even ONE error during racing, as I've heard of an "Anonymous" gamer, that they have won most of their races with their starter cars, rather than the good selection of supercars including the Saleen S7 and the array of Lamborghinis. This game, although with the major flaw in AI, has its good share, too. The graphics are stunning and the environment is dead-on to the actual Los Angeles. The environment is so detailed, you could spot the hotel you stayed at during vacation! The massive array of cars, racing events, and tuning capabilities also adds to the game's intensity. The cars range from a 1970s Volkswagen to the well-known supercar, Saleen S7, and the customizations come from tuning your car's engine to perfection with a turbo, to the tire size and profile of your ride. Overall, this is a very well-made game, a 9/10, but if you have anger management problems, I suggest you don't buy it.Read full review
PROS: GREAT CAR SELECTION NICE GRAPHICS CHALLENGING RACES GOOD SOUND CONS NOT ENOUGH CUSTOMIZATION AVG STORY LINE POLICE CHASES ARE TOO EASY NO REALISTIC DAMAGES LOW REPLAY VALUE I KNOW THE NAME OF THE GAME IS MIDNIGHT CLUB LA, BUT THE MAP IS NOT BIG ENOUGH. I FOUND MY SELF GETTING BORED WITH LA VERY FAST. THERE IS NOT THAT MANY JUMPS OR COOL PLACES IN THE CITY TO DRIVE TO COMPLETE STUNTS WITH THE CAR. I DID RATE THIS GAME AS AVG, BUT I DID NOT COMPLETE THE GAME BECAUSE I JUST GOT VERY BORED WITH IT. NFS MOST WANTED IS THE BEST RACING GAME OF ALL TIME, AND THE KING OF POLICE CHASES. I REALLY FELT LIKE THE POLICE WERE VERY EASY TO ESCAPE WITH VERY LITTLE CHALLENGE IF ANY. CARS ARE VERY NICE, BUT THERE IS ONLY A LIMITED NUMBER OF MODS. I REMEMBER IN BOT NFS UNDERGROUND GAMES, THERE WERE A TON OF MODS AVAILABLE. OH WELL, IT WAS MY FIRST TIME PLAYING A MIDNIGHT CLUB GAME, AND IT WILL PROBABLY BE MY LAST. NFS ALL THE WAY!Read full review
