It is a return to his indie roots peppered with appearances from close friends such as Robert Downey Jr., Dustin Hoffman, Scarlett Johansson and the irresistible Sofia Vergara. A road trip from Miami via New Orleans, Austin to LA, or from Salsa to Brass Band, Country & Hip Hop. in the words of Variety's Joe Leydon: 'The eclectic mix of musical selections chosen by music supervisor Mathieu Schreyer could encourage many ticket-buyers to rush home and download the entire soundtrack.'
I think that I'm in agreement with another review, which states that very little of the original music from the movie was actually used for the soundtrack. Especially on certain tracks a guy was trying to sing some of the songs.... (what were they thinking)? Because I really enjoyed the music from the movie. But the soundtrack was a knock off.
