    Rogue One

I'm a Star Wars nerd, since the beginning. Disney, to their credit, has taken the franchise to a whole new level. Not only are the new Star Wars movies incredible and visually stunning, Disney is going to keep churning them out so I will have years of Star Wars to look forward to. This DVD was a great value and excellent quality. I watched it right away and it was amazing.

    I'm a little disappointed

Rogue One, as a Star Wars movie, does NOTHING to the story line. The movie itself can be a stand alone talking about any Sci-Fi ot outer-space mission. The CGI of Princess Leia at the end of the movie has room for improvement. You should think that when Disney bought Lucas Films, that they now have the ability to do more creative special effects. R2D2 and CP30 had cameos in the film but how did they arrive at the planet, there was no Luke, Hans Solo, or any other Jedi. It's a entertaining film but does not have the Star Wars feel to it. The Beginning is different ant the Theme song has been altered somewhat.

  • Before There Was A New Hope, There Was Rogue 1.

What an awesome prequel, I went to see it on opening day in December 16. I couldn't wait until it came out on DVD. This prequel packs a big punch, and lives up to the hype. Unlike Lucas' prequels, this has very little CGI. It really ties into A New Hope, a great film that is highly recommended. The DVD arrived quickly, and of course it was in excellent condition. THX for the DVD! -Kris L. CocKayne-

  • The darker wars

This movie is a bit darker than expected. It focuses on a likely Kamikaze mission and stays clear from other elements of the SW universe. Aside from a cynical droid there aren't a lot of lighter moments and it really is a heavy drama. Much of the cast was unknown to me which lent itself to a fresh experience. Solid acting and marvelous stunts for sure. There are a few satisfying cameos too. I was left feeling very nostalgic for Episode IV. The recreation of Peter Cushing (Grand Moff Tarkin) was impressive...don't know how they did that - haunting but brilliant. I enjoyed the story of the flawed creation of the Death Star and I really liked how the movie ends by leading into a famous beginning with nice precision. Most of the characters shouldn't appear again so enjoy them. The experience leaves residuals of sadness and celebration similar to Band of Brothers. It is unique...check it out.

  • The "Missing Link" between Epi. 3&4!

A well thought out story with plenty of reference to the 1st 3 stories in the past & the classic 4-6 canon we've come to love. The whole mini saga...from front to back...carefully knitted together to show the wrath of the oppressive Galactic Empire & the desperation of the Rebel Alliance in the face of seemingly imminent destruction. The CGI on the key characters from A New Hope; Grand Moff Tarkin & Princess Leia Organa is amazing. This DVD is well made & has extras for the Star Wars fan. A. Very. Awesome. Movie. Indeed.

  • Great movie in the Star Wars Tradition..

I have all the previous Star War movies in my collection, and having been a Theatre Manager, I really enjoy the films. This film benefits from the stories of George Lucas, and benefits from all the new tech that make the films better. Played on my big screen TV with my 5.l Theatre Sound system, the film is quite enjoyable and does a nice job developing characters.

  • A worthy addition to the Star Wars saga

I have tended to view Disney's expansion of the Star Wars franchise as largely superfluous. George Lucas' six installments told the story more than adequately but I'm willing to make an exception for Rogue One. This standalone story is a link between the original trilogy of the 1970s and '80s and the later prequel trilogy, sort of an episode 3.5. It tells the story of how the rebels came to possess the plans for the Death Star and at what cost. It's definitely the best of Disney's contributions to the saga and a story worth telling.

THIS WAS A GREAT FILM. REMINDED ME OF 'STAR WARS PART 4-A NEW HOPE'. GREAT STORY, GREAT CHARACTERS, GREAT SPECIAL EFFECTS. CAN'T WAIT 4 'STAR WARS PART 8-THE LAST JEDI' WHEN IT COMES TO THEATRES IN DECEMBER.

  • ROGUE ONE (STAR WARS)

This is a movie full of action and drama. If you do not have the full collection of Star Wars movie and have not been following them down through the years, you will not understand this movie. This movie should have been put out from the beginning when Star Wars movie first started. Due to lack of high technology that is why it was put out today because our technology is much better today than it was 40 years ago. To under stand this movie one must but the full series of Star Wars to have a better understanding.

  • Star wars rouge one

This was just kinda okay for a star wars movie but I don't think it really is like all the others ,I was a little disappointed, but I'll certainly always love the star wars movies anyway ,can't wait for the newest one to come out in December so this one I only gave 3 stars when comparing it to the others still worth watching and buying for a collection
