Clever clogs
There is no doubt that Mr Horowitz writes a clever and witty thriller. The selling point is that the author takes part in the thriller, together with his rough and ready retired detective colleague. Well you have to have amazing confidence to carry this off and Mr Horowitz has the CV to provide this. This time out , however,the reader is likely to guess the murderer well before the ‘author’ . There is something also that is slightly irritating about the author’s work. His books are very readable, his TV work watchable.
