  • Very interesting to watch if you can stand the Texan culture.

Aaron Kaufman is the brains behind this company and it is great they are maintaining the American motor heritage buying the older cars and bring them back to life sometimes using modern engines and updated equipment. The owner Richard and the painter Kacey are good at their jobs but have supercharged egos with Richard in particular the main aim in life is MAKING MONEY and I would question if it is rather dubious at times. It is a company I would like to work for mainly because of Richard`s attitude towards the workers which comes out rather `feudal` at times. What is good about the series is the technical detail given is in plain English especially when they encounter problems in trying to upgrade an older car. They also give some details to the history of the car bought and towns visited in America in order to see and buy them. What is a great leveller is when Richard decides to auction a car without reserve put on it the series is honest enough to tell you when at times they make a loss. Despite the Texan cult her they seem to have got the balance reasonably right although the razzmatazz could be toned down a bit at times. As you would expect there is a lot of advertising of the products they use and they are certainly not short of money when buying repair equipment for the garage.
