This is one of the most remarkable musicals produced in this century, and my guess is that it will remain so and beyond! It is based on a famous trilogy that was written by Wilhelm Moberg. And then made into two films by Jan Troell of "Elvira Madigan" fame. Now the B n' B's of ABBA have made the story into a musical masterpiece with tracks you will listen to again and again. Everything is here, love, tragedy and compelling historic facts. No ABBA or music collection is complete without this recording now performed in English language! "Kristina from Dovedale" who emigrates from a dirt poor Sweden with her husband Carl Oscar and younger brother Robert and friends to the fertile Blackwater area in MI. USA in the 1860's.
