Some enchanted evening...
Great recording! Recording quality sounds better than the West Side Story Bernstein recording with Te Kanawa and Carreras. Plus Sarah Vaughan as Bloody Mary singing Happy Talk. What's not to like?

Revision of the classic soundtrack. Worth a look
Despite other (negative) reviews, I would recommend this. Te Kanawa is the only sour note. Sarah Vaughan reinterprets the South Pacific islander's songs in a way that communicates to a multi ethnic cultural world of today. Carreras is as good as I've ever heard him.
