I can't remember how I stumbled across this CD but I'm sure glad that I did.
There was more to music coming out of Detroit in the 60's than just Motown and this CD proves it.
Initially, I bought it for the Bob & Fred track "I'll be on my way" but who is Lloyd Williams? "It won't matter at all" is absolutely sublime.
I'm not too sure about the Doni Burdick tracks though! Personally, I don't think that his voice is powerful enough to do justice to "Open the door to your heart" (originally recorded by Darrell Banks) or "I have faith in you baby" (originally recorded by the late great Edwin Starr).
It's a great CD and a welcome addition to my collection.
