CULT FEATURE FILM ABOUT THE BEGINNINGS OF HIP HOP IN THE ZDF VERSION!!! Wild Style is considered the first successful film from the hip-hop scene. It was published in 1983 by the independent agency First Run Features, headed by Charlie Ahearn. Fab 5 Freddy, “Lee” George Quinones, the Rock Steady Crew, The Cold Crush Brothers and Grandmaster Flash among others, starred in the film, which was internationally significant for the development of the hip-hop scene. The soundtrack is still an integral part of many DJs in the scene today and has been frequently sampled (e.g. in The Genesis from Nas' first album Illmatic). The Wild Style lettering is the work of the famous New York graffiti artist Zephyr, who also appears in a supporting role as Z Roc. The production of the film was made possible b.
