The Show that keeps on giving!
The Expanse is one of those rare finds these days - quality Sci-Fi, which. like some of its predecessors (Babylon 5 and the recent re-imaging of Battlestar Galactica), draws you in until your are entirely immersed in the realm of its excellent story line, brilliant plot development, and entirely engaging people from Earth, Mars and the asteroid belt. The first three seasons brilliantly ground the story and the rich ensemble of characters, so by the time we reach this point (season 4), we certainly feel (to quote a famous line from a Vulcan) that we are the first to come this far! Having opened the ring gates, Belters rush to colonise a strange world they name Eris, which proves to house just as many mysteries as the ring itself. James Holden and his team on the Rosi are sent to investigate. Meanwhile, new troubles arise on Earth and Mars and the O P A fighters Drummer and Ashford find themselves facing a growing threat from a new and growing Belter faction, lead by one Marco Arnaros. Perfectly setting the stage for the final two seasons, this is a good watch.
