Roary The Racing Car - Roary's First Day is a truly great DVD. It is entertaining for both children and adults! Makes you feel young at heart if nothing else. The story lines are relevant and send out appropriate messages to the young in a fun and educational way. I think this DVD will apeal to girls and boys, although it is essentially about racing cars and driving it does has a female lead and a strong role model for young girls as well as a lovely pink racing car! My son is 2 years old and is transfixed with this DVD. The theme tune is extremely catchy and is sung by the comedian Peter Kay who also records the voice for another main character called Big Chris! Many times I find myself singing the theme tune! This DVD would suit children from 2 upwards and as for adult viewing I am 31 and I love it!Read full review
I bought this for my son's 3rd birthday - and it's a great DVD for a car-mad little boy. It features five episodes of the Milkshake Roary the Racing Car. A total of 50 minutes so good bite-size chunks. We found 5 entertaining stories that could be watched all together or just one for a quick treat. Sir Stirling Moss is the narrator and Peter Kay is Big Chris' voice. It is easy to grasp who all the characters are; even if you haven't seen Roary on tv before. Definately one to recommend :)
Roary is a bright red racing car at Silver Hatch race track. This dvd follows Roary's first day at Silver Hatch and how he becomes friends with the other cars namely Maxi, Sissy, Drifter, etc... and the personnel at Silver Hatch, namely Big Chris, Marsha and Mr. Carburettor. Very nice animation, lively, colourful and beautiful story line. My son adores Roary so much I've bought Roary shoes, towel, model cars, etc... Enjoy.
My 3yr old son loves this DVD. The other characters in it have been well thought up. There is Flash the rabbit, Molecom the mole, Dinky the donkey etc, so it is not just about the racing cars. There is also a section that is educational, it is a quiz about some of the characters, asking their favourite colour, best friend and so on. I decided to buy this for my son as Roary is not on the TV as often as he would like it to be, so now I can just pop in the DVD to keep him happy!
This is a great DVD for Kids! My Little Boy is 2 and Loves Roary. There are a few episodes but not many bonus features, but he loves it just the same (and it's nice to know that he can take his favourite Programme with him wherever we go)!
