With a sarcastic wit, and his trusty spiritual adviser Bob (Terence Mann) on hand, Dresden takes on the cases of the supernaturally threatened.     Magic of Dresden files

    Love magic and mystery in modern times then this is the series for you. I am a big fan of the Jim Butcher books and think this was a good adaptation. Bought it used on DVD excellent quality in great condition played perfectly.

    Worth watching

    I enjoy magic stories and the special effects that are used. Dresden, using a hockey stick as his magic wand is a clever concept, and I like his character, off beat, casual yet efficient and strong when needed. His companion Bob, is well acted as a world weary, centuries old spiritual companion and advisor.

    A lot like the books

    If you like the books you should probably like this too. It doesn't go into the background really so it's possibly better if you have read them, then you'll be aware of the history of it all. It's easy watching, not stressful and passes the time quite entertainingly. Worth a watch..

    Good interpretation of the books

    Love the books and really like the dvd. I'm very disappointed that they only made one season, as the interpretation of the character is very good and the actor nails the part really well. I doubt that they will take it back up again but one can only hope.....
