    Good buy

    Dvd was wrapped and sealed. Played on my american region 1 blu ray player. And it arrived a week early. Movie review: It was a bore. I love Shakespeare, but this is a snoozefest, even kevin cline cant save it.

    DVD didn't play

    I had the identical problem with a "like new" DVD from Amazon and returned it. Ordered a "new" DVD via eBay. Came in record time; only it didn't play. I am not alone, of 105 reviews on amazon, 3 didn't play. I enjoyed the movie on Youtube more than once and planned to buy the DVD for some time as the movie was pulled off Youtube. My new Sony Blu-ray DVD player is not the cause. An unsolved mystery.

    As You Like It takes love and loyalty to Shakespearean propotions that sustain a modern viewers interests.

    The Forest of Arden blossomed with color, evocative music, and characters most blessed in grace and diction. My favorite was Kevin Kline's portrayal of the meloncholy Jacques.
