An absolute hoot!. I have not laughed like this in years previously. Dave Lee and Roger Kitter as the Ugly Sisters in both Sinderellas are unsurpassed. On Sinderella 2 there is also a bonus interview with Jim Davidson which includes several skits that the audience saw and you don't in the final version. They are hysterical especially the balloon dance and worth buying for that alone. I was falling off the sofa lauging at it and my sides ached it was so funny. Row row row the boat is also very entertaining. It must have been fabulous to have been in the audience and see it live. Charlie Drake in Sinderella 1 is also unforgettable. Its like seeing someone for the first time in reality instead of their stage face and seeing and hearing them as they really are when they are being themselves. I'm also writing a book and I could not believe how many coincides that are in my book have also cropped up on these DVD's, it's quite uncanny, and the book is not even pantomine or a fairy story. Sinderella as an actress is a little twee but the support cast are just excellent whether in Boobs in the Wood or in the two Sinderella DVD's and in Boobs in the Wood the Gay Men of Robin Hood are wonderful. Jess Conrad as the Prince in Sinderella 1 and 2 reminds me of the Colgate adverts of the 1970's (only those who are old enough will understand that - he has the ring of confidence) on gleaming teeth and a butterscotch tan. He still looks good though and he must have been in his 50's when this was made. Do I recommend them, you bet I do. Are they worth mega bucks, well to be honest as both Sinderella's are the same except one has Charlie Drake in person, one has his voice only, I'm not sure I would say yes. You can get Sinderella 2 and that fantastic balloon dance for a few quid, and you can also get Boobs in the Wood pretty inexpensively as well so if money is an issue, I would get them instead as single purchases rather than go for a box set. You won't be missing much honestly. Sinderella 1 has no interviews or extras. All you are getting for a vast cost is a slightly different version of swearing (which by the way all of them are peppered with along with the very typical one-liners that JD is famous for, and the bawdy Carry On type Seaside Postcard humour) and in Sincers 1 you get Charlie Drake.Read full review
