Successful Gloss Enamel, but Hostile Primer
Black Gloss Enamel: After moderate preparation (including the same company's =scary= etch primer) I applied three coats of the black enamel and I am impressed by how it looks. Instructions suggest 30 mins between coats - maybe I should have given it a tad longer, one or two very slight runs. It didn't matter this time. Giving it 24+ hours to go off afterwards was ok for me, too. I am willing to believe it will stand up to engine temperatures, won't be stressing it for a while yet. Cellulose thinners cleaned up the brush fine afterwards... BUT they recommend their own etch primer first. I used it, but might not have bought it if I knew the nature of the hazards listed on the tin. I am too clumsy to be using such hazardous stuff. I got away with it, though. This time. The black gloss was nowhere near as hostile. I will use it again, for sure.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
