These models were based the Southern Railway luggage vans that fitted in the London to Dover Night Ferry or notably with the Folkstone-bound Golden Arrow Pullman rakes. Some of them gained new lease of lives operating as freight and parcel vans making them firm favourites for modelling a pick up or transfer goods workings.
These models originally produced by Mecanno under Hornby Dublo branding and then Wrenn until being absorbed by Dapol. The particular weakness of these models is the delicate loose doors that can sometimes swing open and break while striking some lineside obstacles so be on your guard.
