  • A kaleidoscopic view of South Asian immigrants which can be paradigm altering

BRICK LANE is a film based on a novel by Monica Ali, starring Tannishta Chatterjee. It was filmed in UK and Bafta nominated in 2008. It is about a Bangladeshi girl married off (through arranged marriage) to a Bangladeshi man resident in UK. It transcends the typical paradigms of what we all Hindus and Muslims like to be comfortable with and provides a different perspective to many South Asian people's concept of Non- Residents who have migrated abroad for a 'better life'.. It will re-orient your priorities and refresh your orientations and sensitivities. It may even do much more....I suggest that you watch this film.
