  • Ultra feed is awesome

I am very very happy with my Ultrafeed machine, I am a beginner and I have been able to do everything I had hoped to . The troubleshooting is well documented and easy to follow, the machine is well built and user friendly. I have zero regrets buying the Sailrite ultrafeed LS-1

  • Satisfied sailrite customer.

I bought this machine to sew leather, it will sew 2 layers of veg tan leather that just barely fit under the presser foot. The key is to get the diamond or tri-point needles, and take your time. Stitch spacing and tension is good. I will be ordering the Monster Wheel soon because it with the plastic power wheel sews a little fast for my taste, no matter how well I feather the pedal. The threads for the post that catches the thread as it comes off the thread stand were either obstructed by the red coating of the machine or were poorly threaded to begin with, either way the post would not thread into the machine, so I had to chase the threads with a tap in order to get it to work. Otherwise everything worked well out of the box. Do not forget to lower the presser foot before you start sewing again or you will have a rats nest of thread on your hands, but that is true of any walking foot machine. Cheap? No. Industrial? No. Solid performer? Yes. Would I buy again? Yes, but hopefully I won't have too!

The pedal when pressed doesn't always work. Found that works better when upside down. Video included was helpful getting started.
