TECHNIK Self-Etch Primer
Invent used this etching primer before. It took some shaking before the ball bearing started to move - at first I thought there wasn't one!! I gave the can a great deal of shaking (much more than I'd usually apply) then stuck in a bowl of hot water for a few minutes and sprayed my prepared metal surface with the primer with two coats. I was impressed with the coverage and the matt grey colour. Easy to get a good covering. I left the primed surface for a full 24 hours as the instruction indicate (didn't want any bubbling from the etching process to come through the final colour coat!! Once I was 100% sure the time had passed I gently buffed the primer with 7000 grit paper to make the surface perfectly smooth, then applied two coats of colour. The result was beyond my wildest expectations - ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. I highly recommend this primer to anyone. I'll be testing it on other materials including wood and plastic.
