FULL METAL JACKET follows marine Private Joker, from his extra-tough boot camp training through to climatic involvement in the Vietnam War and particularly the heavy fighting at Hue during the bloody 1968 Tet offensive. In Kubrick's epic 2001 û A SPACE ODYSSEY, a highly evolved civilisation sets up mysterious monolithic objects on Earth, the Moon, and in orbit around Jupiter. These objects acts as vital clues to the survival of ancient man, and later signal man to travel deep into space. When man arrives on the great civilisation's planet he is reborn with immense powers of wisdom and strength. Rounding off the set is the ultra-violent A CLOCKWORK ORANGE, in which a gang of teenagers go on the rampage beating and raping helpless victims. After an altercation, one gang member is knocked unconscious and left for dead. Stanley Kubrick Special Edition 10 Disc Box Set
A Superb collection of some of Kubrick's later films along with support discs detailing the making of the features in this series. 2001 A Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange, Eyes Wide Shut, The Shining, and Full Metal Jacket. also Stanley Kubrick's own story about his life in pictures. When I was a Cinema Projectionist there was a belief in the Industry that no cinema ever failed to get bums on seats screening his films. Barry Lyndon would have made a great addition to this set but somehow missed out. I recommend this collection to everyone, great entertainment and a must for movie buffs.
