  • Classic Early Hitchcock

A pick of some of Alfred Hitchcocks early British pictures starting with his first ever full motion picture all the way through to his last before he moved to America. There is a quite a mix of films here and it's intersting to see him develop over the years and add his own flourish to contractual obligation pictures. Shame there is no score for the restored Lodger picture but I recommend playing the original score on another device alongside as this is n exceptional movie. Not all classics here but a lot to enjoy

  • Wonderful view of a movie pioneer's work.

If you like Hitchcock and/or are interested in history of film/cinema, then this is for you. Some of his early - some silent - movies with an optional introduction to each film by a "film expert" (which I found interesting) pointing out things which we now take for granted, but were innovated by Hitchcock. These films are 80 to nearly 100 years old, so don't expect crisp, sharp images, but of course they are well watchable.and enjoyable.
