Practice piece before van service
My T4 van has developed a ticking sound that goes away if I press the brake pedal. This indicates a vacuum pump build up of oil inside which means removing and opening the pump. I’m happier doing this on an inexpensive 2nd one first. OK it’s a pain to clean, but so will be the one on the van. But this is a genuine Pierburg pump so I could simply swap them.
