Great little filter for a nano tank
After reading the mixed reviews, I was a bit hesitant and even tried to cancel my order, but it had already been dispatched. I’m so glad I didn’t as this filter is exactly what I needed for my nano 20 L planted tank. I made sure the filter was filled to the brim with water, otherwise air trapped inside will cause a racket. However, after about 5 mins and making sure all the air was out, it’s been running essentially silently since. I didn’t use the carbon that came with it and instead stuffed it full with filter floss and mature sponges from other tanks. The pipes were also very stiff and hard to work with, so I soaked them for a few minutes in boiled water, making them much more pliable. I’m using the spray bar and the flow rate is nice and gentle, which is perfect for my small aquarium. I’m not sure how useful this filter would be on larger set ups. All in all, I’m very happy. Dose work just need to remember when priming it to hold it on its side to let air run out also found that keeping it beside the tank rather than clipped on it seems to work better which of course it would but it is quite and dose the job for a small tank one thing I would of liked is a longer inlet pipe so I can have it nearer the tank floor but I will mod it to do this myself

Great filter
Brought this filter for my nano shrimp tank as I didn't want to take up any tank space with an internal filter. It does the job great and it has a slower water flow which is perfect for shrimps. I purchased BV two of these for my children. I was about worried as some reviews on line said they had a lot of problems with them not working and very noisy.if you follow instruction video on line you won't have any troubles.it can make some noise in the beginning but if you tilt it so that you completely fill interested first the water and air moves to other side after a few minutes.i don't have on side of tank as the pipe is stressed I didn't want to cut so just lay at side not a Hassel as I didn't want to cut to the size of these tanks then would have to buy more pipe if I used for another size in the future.on hole I would recommend I think instructions could be better as if I'd not seen video I would not know how to doVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

filer is ok but box was a mess

Very disappointing. The worst filter I ever used. £5 internal have done much better work than this.
I bought the filter for my 10L (!) shrimp tank and it can't manage sufficient flow to keep the water oxygenated! . The producer claims on they YT channel that it'd be sufficient to run on 1 gallon / 40L tank. That's very misleading to say the least.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Noisy pump
For those people who have complained of a noisy pump after a day's use the problem is air in the top of the pump. When first filling the pump make sure the pump is filled to the top of the rim. Wait for half an hour or so just keep tapping the sides to release any air trapped in the filters top up as required to the rim.Replace the top. Job done.
