The 2016 MALOSSI 210 cylinder kits Sport and MHR are delivered with a VERTEX piston with graphite coating. Graphite as a surface coating ensures less friction and, if necessary, a certain “emergency running property” when it gets stuck. Compared to the previous ASSO piston, the new VERTEX piston weighs approx. 10% less. In addition, the piston skirt is shorter, i.e. the piston no longer has to be shortened in the lower part when using 60 mm long stroke crankshafts. The piston windows are larger and much better adapted to the channels. The piston can be used in all 210 cylinder kits including “old”. Note: The pistons are specifically assigned to the cylinder kits by a letter (0, A, B...). For example, we always recommend using an “A” piston with an “A” cylinder. Malossi stamped the corre.
