A few teething problems.
I bought this as a replacement for my Toyota. It is a very nice compact machine, with a nice selection of stitches and features. I had a few problems at first as there was some oxidisation in the workings (oil), that had occurred in the machine and stitches were coming out black. I assume this is because it was stored for a while before being sold. I cleaned it thoroughly and eventually it was ok. The instruction manual is ok, but the print is small and the diagrams are not as clear as they could be and I had trouble especially with the buttonhole function. I eventually sorted it out with help from a You -Tube tutorial. It is a little more complicated to change stitches than some other machines, as you have to ensure that three dials are set accurately to select a stich, but once you get used to do this it is fine. The dials are easy to use and are not flimsy and the whole machine seems to be quite robust. All in all though it is a very nice machine. Quiet operation and nice to use.
